Feakle GAA club captured the Clare intermediate hurling title this past weekend and showed a real touch of class during the presentation of the cup.

The club's president for the past 25 years, Jimmy Lynch, suffers from Parkinsons disease and is confined to wheelchair. The illness doesn't stop him turning up to support team however and he was of course in attendance when they won the final a few days ago.

To show their appreciation for his support, Feakle players Killian Bane and Tommy Guilfoyle carried Jimmy out of his wheelchair and up the steps of the Cusack Park to present the cup. What a lovely gesture and one that exemplifies all that is good about the community spirit within the GAA.
