The weather is clearly playing havoc with the local GAA facilities around the country. With Storm Barney making landfall in Ireland this afternoon, many clubs are still feeling the effects from the weather of the last few days.
Last week we brought you news of what was the wettest GAA pitch in Ireland and its miraculous 24 recovery. Now we bring you news of a pitch that makes Clonbur GAA look like a minor puddle.
You would be forgiven for not recognising this pitch as being Urney St. Columba GAA's Pairc Naomh Columba and yes those are the crossbars just peeping out over the water level. Thankfully this is their old pitch so there won't be too much worrying if the drainage is not up to scratch.
Thanks to Martin Holland for sending this our way.
