Could a 10-year-old Lester Ryan ever has envisaged himself lifting the Liam McCarthy Cup as Kilkenny captain? Well, the answer is yes.

Some footage of a young Lester has been posted on YouTube with the following description:

Cousin Lester Ryan (Kilkenny All Ireland winning captain 2014), myself and his two brothers (Liam and Tom) reciting his winning speech/poem for Feile na Gael Kilkenny (Irish speaking competition).

His omission of sponsors and every member of the backroom team from the speech is, of course, glaring.
