How this 27 second clip of an underage GAA game from 1987 does not feature the words 'bend your back' in commenatary is inexplicable really.
Apart from that, it is a flawless moment of underage gaelic football.
Of main interest here is that it features an 8-year-old Shane Hogan - yes, the rugby player - who is togged out for Bellewstown.
Shane's brother Mark, of Second Captains fame, posted the clip on Twitter, describing his sibling's burst from defence as Ricky Villa-esque.
Four years previous to this game - in the 1983 All-Ireland final against Galway - down to a remarkable 12 players, Dublin deployed a counter-attacking style of play necessitated by having so few players on the pitch.
Joe McNally was pretty much the lone attacker for the Dubs.
In the McNally role for Bellewstown against Garristown was Peter Joyce, though we are unsure if tactics deployed were out of necessity or simply the underage tendency for players to crowd towards the ball.
We would tend to think the latter.
