Clare manager Davy Fitzgerald was reportedly involved in an altercation with a local newspaper reporter after his side's All-Ireland hurling qualifier draw with Wexford at Cusack Park in Ennis.

According to The Indo, Peter O'Connell of the Clare Champion was the journalist involved with Davy Fitzgerald's own father acting as peace maker.
