In attendance at Croke Park that day was none other than Kevin Costner, just a year removed from winning a Best Director Oscar for 'Dances With Wolves'.
Michael Lyster mentions that Costner was in Ireland working on a project, though we are not sure for which of his films.
The Dubs would prove too much for Clare, progressing to the All-Ireland final where they lost to Donegal.
