Kerry Went Very American With Their All-Ireland Mementos

Every Super Bowl Champion, every NBA Championship winner receives a unique ring as a physical award for their achievement.

And now Kerry have introduced a similar concept to GAA.

According to Tony Leen in The Irish Examiner today, it was Kieran Donaghy who came up with the idea. Every member of the All-Ireland winning panel along with management and backroom staff received a ring, 49 being created in total.

All-Ireland medals along with the rings were presented at banquet in Killarney at the weekend.
