Joe Brolly Donates A Kidney To A Club Mate.

Joe Brolly was recovering in a London hospital yesterday after undergoing an operation to donate a kidney to fellow St Bridgids clubman Shane Finnegan. Joe told RTE : “I’m honoured to have been in the position to help Shane, he’s been waiting for a transplant for over six years and when I heard that the only possibility of a one was through a live donor I contacted his medical team”.

Finnegan said he was overwelmed by Brolly’s “wonderful gift” The two coach an under 10′s side together.

What an incredible, selfless act.
