A fantastic story out of Roscommon today as Strokestown club chairman Martin Silke made his claim to be the oldest GAA player in the country after coming off the bench to play corner forward at the ripe old age of 67. Strokestown won their Tansey Cup game by 2-16 to 3-8, and Martin found himself mentioned in the local paper.

Fair play Martin! Can anyone else stake a claim to be the oldest GAA player in the country? If you think so, tell us.
