Galway could not complete their miraculous comeback against Kilkenny in round 2 of their Leinster Championship bout. They came from 10 points down last weekend to earn Saturday's replay but were bettered by 8 points by the Cats in Tullamore.

Joe Canning was kept quite by Kilkenny, notching up just one point. It was a lovely score though.
