Should throw the book at Connolly for this. Totally disgusting disregard towards the well being of a fellow player. But something tells me this is the last we’ll hear of this. If it was on RTE in the height of summer with Pat Spillane leaping off the chair then he might have gotten a lengthy ban.

Diarmuid Connolly is a thug and should be suspended for at least two months for this cowardly act. He wasn’t brave enough to take on the Kildare player when when the Kildare player was standing up to him face to face. Connolly is a disgrace to the game.
