Last night saw this year's final instalment of Allianz Leagues Extra on Setanta. In six weeks, the show has pulled off a great deal, but without question, it's greatest achievement is revitalising the undervalued art of caption writing.

As a farewell to Series One, presenters Adrian Barry and Colm Parkinson, went over all Jimmy Kimmel and read out the mean tweets that have been directed their way.
The mean tweet phenomenon has been going for some time, but rarely can it have been with such joy and lack of hurt.
Parkinson, as we know, is a playful sort with a fairly thick skin.
