DCU beat St. Mary's Belfast in the Ryan Cup final last night.

The most interesting thing about the game did not happen on the pitch though, it happened above it. St. Mary's used a drone hovering above to film the game.

According to Niall McCoy of Gaelic Life, the drone was operated by an IT technician from the Belfast university.

We've come a long way since Eugene McGee ordered Offaly players to sell raffle tickets in the winter of 1976 so that he could buy a cumbersome video camera in order to film their games for later analysis.
