It doesn't appear that any Munster championship hurling or football will appear on Sky Sports any time soon.

Since Sky won rights to screen GAA games they have shown a grand total of 0 Munster championship games. Last year, Sky broadcast two Leinster hurling games and at least one Connacht football match before showing both exclusive All Ireland games and sharing the rights to the semi finals and finals of the All Ireland hurling and football championships.

Like last year, Sky will show 14 exclusive games across the All Ireland and provincial championship while sharing the semi finals and finals with RTÉ. Sky's first live televised game is likely to be Kildare's Leinster football quarter final with Carlow or Laois on June the 6th.

RTÉ will broadcast all of Munster's hurling championship, with just the final of the football fixture being broadcast on RTÉ. The last Munster SFC game that wasn't a final that was on TV was in 2013 that saw the meeting of Kerry and Tipperary in the quarterfinal.
