After extra time, DCU beat UCC by the minimum in the Sigerson Cup Final. It finished 1-14 to 2-10.

The second of UCC's goals came through a super solo effort from David Culhane who claimed the ball on the throw in a the start of the second period of extra time and scythed through DCU's defence. It put them a point up at the time.
Ultimately, it would be in vain though as a point from Conor McGraynor won it for the Dublin team.
