The Leinster Council last night voted to keep the 2013 All Ireland football champions Dublin in Croke Park for the foreseeable future. After Dublin were drawn to play Longford or Offaly in the Leinster quarter-final, there was some speculation that they may be taking their talents to other parts of the province.

However, the Leinster council voted to keep the quarter final at Croke Park, and it will most likely be scheduled as a double header with the Dublin-Galway hurling quarter finals. Dublin have not played outside of Croke Park since 2006, when they travelled to Pearse Park when Longford hosted them.

Meanwhile, the Galway underage hurling was dealt a blow last night, when a separate Leinster council vote decided not to include them in the minor and U21 Leinster championships. Despite their recent All Ireland successes at that level, Galway will not enter the championship until the All Ireland series begins.
