Serbian FA release video trying to discredit Danny Rose’s racism claims.
The Serbia FA has released an individual highlights video of Danny Rose’s performance against the Serbian U-21′s for the England U-21′s.
The video is titled ‘Danny Rose is lying to whom?’ and features the following text in the description:
Danny Rose said: “Every time I touched the ball, they were doing the monkey chanting again.”
As you can see in this video, during the UEFA under-21 play-off game, there was no unsportsmanlike cheering and insulting opposing players on racial grounds.
As a reminder, Danny Rose said:
“It started when we went out for the warm-up and over the opposite side to the bench. They started monkey chanting straight away and I asked the lads if they could hear it. They said they could hear it.
In the first half, when I went to get the ball for a throw in, the fans were starting again with the monkey chant but the first half was nowhere near as bad as the second half. I had two stones hit me in the head when I went to get the ball for a throw in.”
Several videos were uploaded to YouTube on which monkey chant noises were clearly audible.
The video does not feature any of the ugly scenes at the end of the game where Danny Rose left the field making gestures indicating that monkey noises were coming from the crowd.
