It's taken 6 and a half years but it's finally happened. I am, of course, talking about the giant rise off the bottom of the FIFA rankings of San Marino to 180th position. Bhutan have taken up the mantle of the worst ranked team in the world with the bottom position of 209th.

San Marino's draw with Estonia (83rd, up 5) is enough to see them shake of the title of the world's worst team and move up 39 places to tied 180th. There will be a party in the streets of Dogana, San Marino tonight.

Elsewhere, the biggest movers were the Faroe Islands, up a massive 82 places after their victory over Euro 2004 champions Greece in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, that ended up costing Claudio Ranieri his job. Liechenstein, Thailand, Jamaica, Haiti, and Cuba are all up over 20 places, while Portugal made the biggest move in the top 10, joining France in tied 7th.
