The Irish Independent are reporting that O'Neill is close to agreeing terms and is interested in taking on Keane as an assistant. The Telegraph is a little less certain stating
The idea of working with Keane is only at the germination stage. O’Neill gets on well with the former Manchester United and Ireland captain, but sources in Dublin have indicated that the plan has been discussed by them and remains a possibility.
