Notoriously, Richard Dunne was one of English football's most prolific scorers of own goals.
With Dunne gone from the English game, another Irish international named Richard has stepped into the breach left by the Dubliner.
Richard Keogh inadvertently headed past his own keeper, Scott Carson, to give Burnley the lead against Derby in the Championship on Monday night.
According to Opta, it is Keogh's fourth OG in the past four and a half years and no player has scored more in the Championship in that time.
4 - No Championship player has scored more own goals since August 2011 than Richard Keogh. Clumsy.
