Today saw the official launch of the iconic Panini's latest sticker album for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2016 tournament.
Panini stickers have a special place in the hearts of football fans everywhere, but a lof of adults have abandoned one of their favourite childhood pasttimes of collecting and trading Panini stickers for one reason or another.
One thing we absolutely do not want to hear is that 'they are for kids', because they are not, and here are the reasons why:
1. Who the hell are you to judge the hobbies of others?
Seriously. Panini stickers are something that almost every man or fan of football has fond memories of, so why can't they buy a Euro 2016 sticker album starter pack without insisting that it's for their nephew?
It's fun as hell, more power to those are aren't so afraid of what others think of them that they enjoy things that they enjoy.
2. Ireland are in it.
Full immersion in Euro 2016 requires Panini stickers.
The feeling when you pull Jon Walters out of a pack will be worth it every cent you've invested.
3. The nostalgia will blow your socks off.
Honestly, flicking through the album will evoke so many happy memories from your childhood and the albums you completed in the glory days.
4. The starter pack costs less than a fiver.
Even if you're not going to bother filling the whole thing, you won't regret buying a starter pack just for the initial satisfaction you get from the whole experience.
5. A completed album will be worth loads of money in the future.
Seriously, completed albums that are in good condition can go for crazy prices at auction. Don't believe us? Check this out.
6. You have the ability to stick the stickers in accurately now.
One of the worst feelings as a child was pulling a rare player and then absolutely butchering the actual sticking of them into the album. That's not a problem anymore because you're an adult, provided you made it to 'colouring within the lines' levels of general competence.
6. You have the money to buy your own packs now.
No more begging your Mum to buy you two packs after school. Now every time you fill up your car, buy phone credit, or get some lunch on your break you can pop a few packs onto the till and have some fun.
8. Opening packs is still one of the most satisfying feelings.
The fact that the packs look so cool this year is a bonus, but tearing them apart and the suspense of waiting to see who you get is a unique feeling.
9. You'll learn about random players you didn't know existed.
Improve your knowledge!
10. The official hashtag is: #GotGotNeed
That's just a wonderful call. Get involved!
