Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has moved to dismiss speculation today that Tony Pulis is one of the frontrunners to replace Tony Pulis at Crystal Palace. A flurry of bets were placed on the former Stoke City boss taking the reins at Palace from himself and his odds tumbled to as short as 3/1.

Parish said:

"It's highly unlikely Tony will be coming back, I'd put the odds a lot longer than 3/1."

It's thought that Palace looked at Pulis' track record at keeping Palace in the Premier League last season but ultimately decided that Pulis was too similar to Pulis last season and would find it difficult to work with Parish.
