Facebook is a funny old place.
Back in the day you would "become a fan" of something just so it would pop up on your friends' timelines for a laugh, then came the crazy of "liking" pages such as "running up the stairs using both hands and feet" for giggle, and now it seems that attending make-believe events is how people get their kicks.
Jamie Vardy is in a sensational run of form in the Premier League, and just in case he forgot his non-league roots, where he was playing as recently as three seasons ago, he has a legion of fans on social media who will remind him at every possible opportunity.
The Facebook event "Jamie Vardy's Having a Party" is scheduled for Saturday, November 28th at the King Power Stadium, which will surely clash with Leicester City hosting Manchester United, but that hasn't stopped over 47,000 people confirming their attendance, and another 48,000+ declaring themselves "interested".
The instructions are simple enough..
The page is used to post hundreds of Jamie Vardy "memes" and jokes, most of which paint Vardy as a typical non-league hero who loves 'WKD Blue' and telling people that if they "chat shit" they will "get banged".
