An All Ireland Soccer Team May Be Possible

Enda Kenny today attended the Sport and Reconciliation Conference in Armagh, at which he proposed an all-Ireland soccer team that would play against England for charity every two years.

All Ireland teams have been suggested in the past but have not always been well-received, especially given the Republic's propensity to nab players through the Good Friday Agreement once they've come through the Northern Irish set-up at under-age level.

However, since the Taoiseach's proposed fixture would benefit children's hospitals in Dublin and Belfast, there is a possibility that the idea could take hold.

But what would such a squad look like? Which Northern Irish players would get into the Irish team right now? Who would be manager? And would they play that awful Ireland's Call in place of a national anthem?
