According To Murica, Arsenal Lost To An Ivy League College In The Champions League

The stereotype that all Americans are slack-jawed, knuckle-dragging mouth-breathers when it comes to soccer is only perpetuated when they do stuff like this.

According to one bar worker at an unknown location in the land of the free, Arsenal took on Dartmouth in the Champions League group stage last night and lost. This was either a reference to the American Ivy League college of the same name or non-League outfit Dartmouth AFC. The latter seems less likely for some odd reason.

Of course, there is always the chance that the typo was intentional as a stab at humour but this theory doesn't really hold water when you look at the abysmal attempt at the spelling of Turkish club "Galatasary".

I don't know, Borussia Dartmouth doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
