Manchester United have once again been linked to one of Louis Van Gaal's former charges and this time it looks like PSV Eindhoven's Memphis Depay might actually be on his way. The Red Devils have brought us some of the more long-winded transfer sagas of recent transfer windows but they appear intent on wrapping up a deal early this summer for young attacker.

Nigel de Jong, Wesley Sneijder and Ron Vlaar have all been touted as possible arrivals to Old Trafford but Sky Sports News have today confirmed that an initial enquiry for the Dutch international has been made.

Liverpool and Tottenham are also reportedly interested but United's enquiry and Louis van Gaal's previous connection to Depay with the Dutch national side could put an end to the saga sooner rather than later with a price of €20 million rumoured to be the amount United are willing to pay.

The powers that be in Eindhoven have confirmed that contact has been made but, unsurprisingly, they are intent on holding out for a very big price.
