Forest Sack Stuart Pearce And It's All Because He Didn't Have Enough Andy Reid

Poor Stuart Pearce. The Nottingham Forest legend has been given the old heave-ho at the City Ground with the club languishing in 11th place in the Championship table. Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Millwall was the final nail in the coffin and Forest have wasted little time in replacing him with Dougie Freedman, whose last managerial role saw him stuck firmly in the relegation mire with Bolton.

We say poor Stuart Pearce because if only he had more Andy Reid things could have been so much different.

At the start of the season Forest were flying. Brit Assombalonga was banging in goals left right and centre to fire them to the top of the league. Forest were looking like they might even run away with the Championship.

Then Andy Reid suffered a groin injury against Derby at the start of September and from there the wheels have well and truly come off. Granted, we may be place a tad too much emphasis on Reid's injury but the stats certainly make for some interesting reading.
