Paul Lambert Reveals The Roy Keane v Tom Cleverley Incident Was Not What It Seemed

Incident? What incident?

Paul Lambert has rubbished reports that Roy Keane went around to Tom Clelverley's house to confront the player for leaking stories about Keane's time at Aston Villa to the press.

Addressing the report in The Sun today, Lambert said:

I spoke to Tom this morning really briefly and he assures me that what is being portrayed is certainly not what happened. That was it, really.

It seems however that some sort of incident did happen but that it was not like what The Sun had reported; that he had rang the doorbell for 15 minutes.

Lambert continued, saying 'I’ve probably spoken about Roy more since he’s left than when he was here. I think you [should] give the guy a break.'
