Robbie Keane scored the winner in extra time for LA Galaxy as they won their fifth MLS Cup with victory over New England Revolution.

One of the great things about Keane's time in MLS is the honesty which he has no qualms employing during interviews. Unhappy with the state of a pitch following a pre-season game last year, he told a journalist that it could be given "back to the farmer" so that he could "put his cows back on it".

During the post-match press conference last night, the Irish captain was asked about a miss during the match and how he gets it out of system during a game. Keane responded with a mixture of honesty and humour.

I only missed one chance, so, it wasn't that bad. Jesus, you're trying to kill me here, we just won the championship and [I] scored the winning goal. You're on about the miss I made.
