Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is alleged to have killed two men in a drive-by shooting in 2012, because they spilled his drink in a nightclub.

Prosecutors allege the former NFL star shot Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado, two Cape Verde immigrants, while they were in their car after Abreu had bumped into Hernandez on the dancefloor of a local nightclub earlier in the night.

Deeming the action to be disrespectful, as Abreu failed to apologize, Hernandez is said to have waited outside the club for the victims before pulling up beside them at a red light and yelling "yo, what's up now" before firing five shots into the car, killing two and injuring another.

Hernandez also faces charges of armed assault and the  attempted murder of the other occupants of the car, as well as awaiting trial for the murder of Odin Lloyd in 2013, but has plead not guilty to all charges ever brought against him.
